New Orleans coach Sean Payton confirmed that rookie safety Kenny Vaccaro broke his left ankle on Sunday against Carolina and will miss the remainder of the season. Vaccaro was hurt in the first half of the game and was taken off the field after putting an air cast on the ankle. Payton said Vac-caro would have surgery and return next season.
