A little time off for the New Orleans Saints has led to at least a little trouble for one veteran player.

Defensive end Will Smith has been arrested and charged with domestic battery after he allegedly grabbed his wife by her hair outside a Lafayette, La., night club and dragged her down the street, according to Cindy Chang of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

According to the report, Smith was arrested at about 2 a.m. Saturday morning after police officers witnessed him arguing with his wife. Per the story, Smith grabbed his wife by the hair and “began pulling her down the street.”

Smith was taken to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. He was released on $1,000 bond, per the story. He could be subject to discipline under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
