Sam Bradford making improvement with high ankle sprain
Sam Bradford isn’t wearing a protective boot for his high ankle sprain any longer, but it’s too early to tell if he will practice when the St. Louis Rams return to work on Wednesday.
Bradford has missed the last two games with the injury, including Sunday’s raucous upset of the New Orleans Saints at the Edward Jones Dome. The Rams play at Arizona this week.
"He's getting there, but you don't know with these high ankle sprains," Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "We'll slowly work him in there."
Wide receiver Mark Clayton is also out of a walking boot he has been wearing because of a sore Achilles tendon. He’s hoping to be promoted from the physically unable to perform list soon.
