Santana Moss tells teammates he didn't knowingly take HGH

Maybe it does not come as a surprise to learn that Santana Moss ducked questions from the media this afternoon when he had the opportunity, following the Washington Redskins OTA, to address his relationship with Anthony Galea, the Canadian doctor who has been accused of dealing in HGH.

"I already know you all gonna ask me or have a bunch of questions about the allegations last week. Right now where I stand, me and Coach Shanahan went over everything and where we're at," Moss said, according to Rick Maese of the Washington Post. "We're very clear on our decision. So if you have any questions about them, you have to ask him about it."

Moss was, however, willing to share some details with teammates. He told them he had three treatments with Galea and that he never knowingly took HGH. Sounds like a real tricky situation because not knowing isn’t an acceptable explanation when it comes to the NFL’s policy on steroids and related substances. However, there is no test currently for HGH.

Moss is recovering from offseason arthroscopic knee surgery. Commissioner Roger Goodell announced Tuesday that the NFL would aggressively pursue information on players that may have received HGH from Galea.

"(We) went through a bunch of situations that have happened to him, and I feel really good about where he's at," coach Mike Shanahan said. "And real good that -- I don't know if vindicated is the word, but I think when you find out all the facts, I think he'll be OK.

"I feel very good about where he's at, the direction that he took," Shanahan said.
