Santonio Holmes would take pay cut to stay with Jets

Even though the New York Jets have been up and down over the past three seasons, receiver Santonio Holmes is apparently happy enough with the team to stick around for another year.

When asked if he'd take a pay cut to stick with the Jets in 2014, Holmes said he'd do "anything for the team," via Metro New York.

“I mean I wouldn’t agree with it, because you can’t do anything about injuries that occur, first time I’ve been injured in my career, but like I said for the team, sacrifices are to be made,” he said.

Under his contract, Holmes is slated to earn $9.25 million next season with the Jets.
