Sanya Richards-Ross wins Olympic gold
With apologies to those who want to wait for NBC's tape delay on the Olympics, Sanya Richards-Ross of the United States has won gold in the women's 400 meters.
Ordinarily that would have no place on a football website, but since Richards-Ross is the wife of Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Aaron Ross, it has every place here.
Richards-Ross took gold with a time of 49.55 seconds in the 400 meters with her husband in attendance to see her.
Also, the other NFL-related participant in the London Games, Holley Mangold, finished 10th in the weightlifting competition. She is the sister of New York Jets center Nick Mangold.
