Scaife lasts 11 days in New England

Showing my age here, but Barry Manilow once sang a hit called, "Weekend in New England."

For Bo Scaife, his tenure there didn't last much longer than a weekend - 11 days to be exact - as he was released Monday by the Patriots, according to the Boston Herald. The Patriots also dropped offensive lineman Mike Ingersoll.

It has been a rapid decline for Scaife, who was the Tennessee Titans' franchise player in 2009, but was out all of last year in Cincinnati with an injury. Scaife signed earlier this month in New England, hoping to resurrect his career, but had trouble with conditioning drlls.
