Seahawks activate Russell Okung, cut B.J. Daniels

Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl offensive tackle Russell Okung was activated from injured reserve-designated to return after recovering from a torn ligament in his left big toe.

The Seahawks cut quarterback B.J. Daniels to create a roster spot for Okung.

"It's a six-to-eight week injury, so we hope it will all work out right for us," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told reporters at the time of Okung's designation two months ago "Russell is determined and kind of excited that he has a chance to get back this season, as we are. So we'll just ride it out and take good care of him."
