Seahawks add WR Martin
First-year Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider found a face that he is familiar with to add to the organization.
The Seahawks announced that they have signed wide receiver Ruvell Martin to a one-year contract. Martin broke spent four seasons with the Green Bay Packers, where Schneider served, and can add some depth as well as the ability to play special teams.
Martin was in the final cuts made by the Packers in September and was picked up by the St. Louis Rams. He appeared in eight games for the Rams, catching six passes for 99 yards. St. Louis was so thin at the position that Martin was the most experienced member of the bunch for a while. He won’t have to play in that kind of role for the Seahawks.
