Seahawks expected to finalize deal with Bevell
A deal for Darrell Bevell to become the new offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks could be in place today.
The Seahawks began talks with Bevell on Tuesday and ESPN’s John Clayton reported Wednesday that the team had entered negotiations with the former Minnesota Vikings coordinator.
It became clear Bevell would not return to Minnesota, where he worked for the last five seasons, when Leslie Frazier went on a prolonged search for a replacement. Finally, the Vikings hired Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave as their offensive coordinator on Wednesday.
The Seahawks surprisingly fired coordinator Jeremy Bates on Tuesday, despite the fact the team won a playoff game.
