Seahawks IR Jesse Williams

The Seattle Seahawks have placed rookie fifth-round defensive lineman Jesse Williams on injured reserve, ending his season.

The former Alabama standout has problems with his knees.

The Seahawks are now down to 81 players.

The Seahawks terminated veteran wide receiver Brett Swain's contract, also releasing wide receiver Perez Ashford, linebacker Kyle Knox, tight end Jameson Konz, tight end Andrei Lintz, tight end-long-snapper Kyle Nelson, defensive tackle Martin Parker and linebacker Craig Wilkins.
