Seahawks land Okung
There will be no Michael Crabtree. Not this year.
The Seattle Seahawks have reached a contract agreement with offensive tackle Russell Okung, the sixth pick in the draft from Oklahoma State. The team is hoping to have him on the practice field this afternoon.
With Okung and Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller getting contracts done today, now all picks from the April draft are under contract. No more holdout drama. Well, there’s Brett Favre, but he’s in a galaxy by himself in that regard.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the Okung deal is for six years and has a maximum value of $58 million with $30 million guaranteed.
