Seahawks lose defensive coach too
The turnover on Pete Carroll’s staff is not limited to the offense, where there has been quite a shakeup since the Seattle Seahawks were knocked out of the divisional round of the playoffs on Sunday.
Jerry Gray, the secondary coach, is leaving to join the staff at the University of Texas where he will be the secondary coach and assistant head coach to Mack Brown. Gray played at Texas.
Per Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times, Gray is the third member of the staff to bolt for the NCAA ranks. But rumors are that quarterback coach Jedd Fisch, who agreed to become the offensive coordinator at the University of Miami, could be in the running to replace Jeremy Bates as the offensive coordinator in Seattle now. Stay tuned.
