Seahawks owner: Richard Sherman 'engaging, intelligent'
Due to a post-game rant following Seattle's 23-17 win over San Francisco in the NFC Championship, Richard Sherman caught a lot of heat.
His top boss, however, wanted to clear the air and stick up for the All-Pro cornerback. Seahawks owner Paul Allen, attending an NBA game between the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers (a team Allen also owns), stuck up for Sherman in an interview with the Associated Press.
“When you sit down and talk to Richard, he’s a very engaging, intelligent, good-hearted guy,” Allen said. “All of us realize, if you’re going to the Super Bowl, everything gets magnified. You have to keep that in your mind.”
During next Wednesday's Super Bowl Media Day, there will be a ton of reporters asking Sherman questions now that he's a national name.
