Seahawks short-handed on offense against Browns
The Seattle Seahawks are emerging from their bye week a little more rested.
But they’re not completely healed.
Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson is one of three starters doubtful for Sunday’s game at the Cleveland Browns, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times.
That means Charlie Whitehurst will be positioned to start at quarterback. Practice time while Jackson has been sidelined with a pectoral muscle injury can only help.
“You definitely like to have practice reps," Whitehurst said. "So that's good. Like I said, we'll see what happens and be ready when called.”
Center Max Unger (foot) and tight end Zach Miller (neck, head) also are sidelined making the offense short-handed against the Browns.
