Seahawks sign wide receiver Chris Matthews

The Seattle Seahawks signed former Winnipeg Blue Bombers wide receiver Chris Matthews to a reserve-future deal.

The 24-year-old is a former Canadian Football League Most Outstanding Rookie award winner. He caught 81 passes for 1,192 yards and seven touchdowns in 2012.

Last season, he finished with 14 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown due to injuries.

The 6-foot-5- 225-pound former Kentucky player has a previous stint with the Cleveland Browns. He caught 93 passes for 1,279 yards and a dozen touchdowns in two seasons at Kentucky after transferring from junior college.
