Seahawks starting to get healthy at wide receiver

The Seattle Seahawks have not yet solved the quarterback position with rookie Russell Wilson starting Friday night at Kansas City.

But they are healing up at wide receiver. Sidney Rice practiced without limitations on Tuesday for the first time since training camp opened. The wide receiver, who was a massive free-agent disappointment last season, has been recovering from offseason shoulder surgery. Hopefully, he’s on the path to a bounce-back season.

It was the first time he has had a full-blown day where we've cut him loose and let him do everything," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times.

Fellow wide receiver Doug Baldwin should be back soon, too, per Carroll. But he will not play against the Chiefs after he underwent a procedure to “clear up his hamstring.”

Carroll deemed it a success and said Baldwin will be “back in it next week fir sure.”

So, slowly the Seahawks are healing up. It’s going to be an interesting season.
