Seahawks tab Atari Bigby to provide veteran help
Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider went looking for some veteran experience at safety and found a player he’s quite familiar with.
The Seahawks have signed Atari Bigby to give them some help. Schneider, of course, knows him from his time with the Packers. Bigby played the last six seasons in Green Bay and was an off-and-on starter over the last several seasons as he was plagued by injuries, including ankle surgery a year ago.
Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times reports Bigby will be able to work with second-year safeties Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. If healthy, Bigby has a decent chance of making the final roster. Fullback Dorson Boyce was released to make room for Bigby.
