Seattle promotes RB Chris Henry from practice squad

The Seattle Seahawks, constantly shuffling their roster, made another move today as they promoted running back Chris Henry from the practice squad.

The second-round draft pick by the Tennessee Titans from 2007 becomes the fifth running back on the roster, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. It’s unlikely he’ll get much action on offense, not now anyway as the Seahawks have a nice 1-2 combination right now with Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett.

To make room for Henry, offensive tackle Breno Giacomini was placed on waivers. Giacomini was signed off the practice squad of the Green Bay Packers last month. It’s possible that he could be signed to the Seahawks’ practice squad next week. Giacomini, who receives a game check for this week, could also be added again to the 53-man roster, especially if Henry was added just to help on special teams.
