Shady McCoy yet to re-pay nightclub for missed appearance
LeSean McCoy took $2,500 as an advance for an autograph appearance he did not attend last month, and the promoter is still waiting for his money back.
Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News reports that Shady was scheduled to appear March 11 at a nightclub in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., for a meet and greet. After the McCoys – LeSean and his brother LeRon – pledged that the money would be returned, well, it hasn’t been.
Bentley’s, the club where the event was to be held, tells Domowitch it has been unable to contact the McCoys. The story was the Philadelphia Eagles running back suffered a flat tire on the way to the event. Bentley’s offered to send a car to pick him up but as LeRon explained it wouldn’t have been big enough for the both of them and the personal security team Shady has.
“LeSean has always been known for his maturity and good-natured attitude,’’ LeRon told Domowitch. ``The last thing he would do is stiff a club out of money or disappoint fans.
“His image is very important to him. And because he’s young, at times he doesn’t know the gravity of certain situations. Which is why I take the blame for the whole debacle.’’
Maybe LeRon will see to it to personally re-pay Bentley’s then, right?
