Shaun Hill accuses Patriots player of trying to break his arm
Shaun Hill didn’t offer up a name, but he did more or less accuse a New England Patriots defender of some dirty play on Thursday at Ford Field.
Hill ran a quarterback sneak midway through the second quarter and in the mass of humanity near the Patriots’ goalline, he says a Patriots players tried to break his left arm, the one that is already broken. Hill suffered a broken left forearm five weeks ago against the New York Giants.
He coughed up the ball in the pile, but not until after he was down, and he did it because his arm was being violently twisted.
“That's why I eventually gave up the ball," Hill said, according to Philip Zaroo of MLive.com. "Somebody was down there (in the pile) literally trying to break my arm, which is already broken. Literally, trying. And, uh, y'know, I guess wasn't seen (by officials)."
Hill said he had no problem with the play call, which put him in harm's way with the broken arm, saying it was the best play.
