Shawn Andrews will be released from hospital
Shawn Andrews is expected to be released from the hospital today, but it’s a virtual certainty the left tackle will not play Sunday when the New York Giants play the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It’s just the latest setback for the Giants, who have been dealing with serious injuries on offense for much of the season. Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reported that Andrews will be released from the hospital after spending Thanksgiving under care for sever back pain.
The Giants will likely start Will Beatty at left tackle and hope that David Diehl can return quickly from his hamstring injury. Andrews played last week despite not practicing with back issues. He missed most of the last two seasons with back issues and this latest issue has to be concerning.
