Sideline reporter says Michael Vick out 3-4 weeks

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick could be sidelined for three or four weeks with his broken right hand.

That’s what Howard Eskin, the sideline reporter for radio broadcasts during Eagles games, reported on Sunday. That’s a scary proposition for the Eagles, who are sitting at 1-2 having dropped consecutive games. It means they’ll have to make a decision between Mike Kafka, who replaced Vick in the loss to the New York Giants, and Vince Young, the latest reclamation project for the club.

Eskin is also a prominent radio and television host in Philadelphia. We’ll see if he’s on the money with this one. The good news for the Eagles is the injury is to his non-throwing hand. The Eagles are four weeks away from their bye, which is Oct. 23. They host the San Francisco 49ers this week and then travel to Buffalo in Week 5.
