Singletary will interview for Vikings' linebacker job
It does not come as a surprise that Mike Singletary is a candidate to join Leslie Frazier’s staff with the Minnesota Vikings.
Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune speculated the former teammates with the Chicago Bears could join forces, and ESPN’s John Clayton reports that Singletary will interview for the vacant linebacker coach’s position on the staff.
Frazier needs to hire a linebackers coach as Fred Pagac is expected to be promoted from linebackers coach to defensive coordinator. Singletary has two years remaining on his contract with the San Francisco 49ers, meaning they’ll be subsidizing any contract he gets in the NFL.
