Source: Stevie Johnson visited Chargers

Former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Stevie Johnson visited the San Diego Chargers, according to a league source. The 49ers cutJohnson after he declined to take a paycut of his $5.5 million base salary. The 40ers signed wide receiver Torrey Smith to a five-year, $40 million deal that includes $22 million guaranteed. Johnson was acquired for a fourth-round pick last year from the Buffalo Bills. Johnson caught 35 passes for 435 yards and three touchdowns last season. Johnson had three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2010 to 2012.
