Source: Browns bringing in Northwestern quarterback Trevor Siemian for visit, working him out

The Cleveland Browns have scheduled a private workout with Northwestern quarterback Trevor Siemian for Tuesday, according to a league source. Siemian has a visit with the Browns that starts with dinner Sunday night and then visits them on Monday before flying back to Chicago and working out for the Browns' offensive coordinator and John DeFilippo and quarterbacks coach Kevin O'Connell on Tuesday at Northwestern. Siemian visited the Denver Broncos and has worked out for the Chicago Bears. Siemian had a dinner meeting with Broncos quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp, who attended his Pro Day. Siemian tore his anterior cruciate ligament in November, preventing him from going to all-star games and the NFL scouting combine. Siemian passed for 5,931 career yards, 27 touchdowns and 24 interceptions. Siemian started 11 games prior to his injury against Purdue. He passed for 2,214 yards and seven touchdowns and rushed for five touchdowns last season. As a junior, he passed for 2,149 yards and 11 touchdowns. Siemian was a top recruit who passed for 6,144 career yards and 53 touchdowns. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
