Source: Buccaneers invite West Georgia quarterback Austin Trainor to local prospect day

West Georgia quarterback Austin Trainor has been invited to attend the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' local prospect day, according to a source. Trainor performed impressively while throwing deep balls to Central Florida standout wide receiver Breshad Perriman with New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick in attendance at the Pro Day workout in Orlando, Fla. He did well enough that the Oakland Raiders have invited him to participate in their rookie minicamp that begins May 7. Trainor went undrafted last year. The 6-foot-3, 231-pounder runs the 40-yard dash in 4.99 seconds with a 29-inch vertical leap and bench pressed 225pounds 11 times. Trainor worked out at IMG Academy last year and was praised for his arm strength and athleticism. Trainor began his career at Florida A&M where he was a starting quarterback before transferring to West Georgia. Trainor played in high school at North Florida Christian in Tallahassee, Fla.
