Source: Central Florida wide receiver Breshad Perriman visiting Dolphins today

Central Florida junior wide receiver Breshad Perriman, one of the fastest players in the upcoming NFL draft, is visiting the Miami Dolphins today, according to sources. The son of former NFL wide receiver Brett Perriman, Breshad Perriman ran the 40-yard dash in 4.24 and 4.27 seconds at his campus pro day workout. The 6-foot-2, 212-pound projected first-round draft pick had a 36.5-inch vertical leap, a 10-7 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 18 times. Perriman also has visits with the Detroit LionsIndianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers and the Oakland Raiders along with private workouts for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants. For a big wide receiver, Perriman has rare speed, and he has displayed good body control. He still needs to refine his route-running techniques and be more consistent with his hands. Perriman caught 50 passes for 1,044 yards and nine touchdowns last season before declaring early for the draft. He averaged 20.9 yards per catch. As a sophomore, Perriman caught 39 passes for 811 yards and four touchdowns. He caught 26 passes for 388 yards and three touchdowns as a true freshman. He finished his career with 115 receptions for 2,243 yards and 16 touchdowns. Perriman's father played 10 seasons in the NFL, including a 108-catch, 1,488-yard season for the Detroit Lions in 1995. He caught 525 career passes for 6,589 yards and 30 touchdowns. Follow me on Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
