Source: Chiefs sign linebacker Ja'Gared Davis

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed veteran linebacker Ja'Gared Davis, according to a league source. A former Southern Methodist standout and All-Conference USA selection., Davis has also played for the Houston Texans, New England Patriots, Chiefs and Washington Redskins. Davis has five tackles in the NFL for his career. Davis had 301 career tackles at SMU with 20 1/2 sacks, four interceptions and six forced fumbles. Davis played at Crockett High School in Crockett, Texas and was named his district's Defensive Most Valuable Player.
