Source: Delaware State defensive end Rodney Gunter visited Chiefs

Athletic Delaware State defensive end visited the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a league source. Gunter is a 6-foot-4 1/2 305-pounder who has run the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds and can dunk a basketball. Gunter is regarded as an emerging player. Gunter had 57 tackles, seven sacks and 13 tackles for losses last season. Gunter has garnered Football Championship Subdivision All-American and All-MEAC Conference notice. As a junior, Gunter was named all-conference as he had 4.5 sacks, 10.5 tackles for losses and 43 tackles. As a sophomore, he was a second-team all-conference selection as he had 5.5 sacks and 49 tackles. Growing up in Haines City, Fla., Gunter played football and basketball and was an honorable-mention all-state selection.
