Source: Eagles signing Roc Carmichael to active roster

The Philadelphia Eagles are signing defensive back Roc Carmichael off of the Houston Texans' practice squad, according to a league source.

Carmichael is a former Texans fourth-round draft pick who spent his rookie season on injured reserve.

Last season, Carmichael played in six games and had five tackles on defense with one pass deflection.

He also recorded five special-teams tackles.

Carmichael played collegiately at Virginia Tech where he was a standout cornerback.
