The New York Jets are working out former New England Patriots quarterback Matt Flynn today, according to a league source.
Flynn was initially signed as the third quarterback behind Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo, but never passed his camp physical.
Flynn had a hamstring injury.
"We don't have forever here; the train is moving," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said of Flynn. "I know he worked hard, it was frustrating he couldn't get out there, [that] we couldn't see him out there."
The Jets need help because Geno Smith has a broken jaw and underwent surgery to repair the damage caused by a former teammate in a locker room fight.
