Source: Lions to work out running back Daniel Thomas
The Detroit Lions are working out former Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas on Tuesday, according to a league source.
Thomas recently worked out for the Dallas Cowboys.
The Lions are also going to work out veteran running back Ben Tate, too.
Thomas is a former second-round draft pick from Kansas State.
Thomas has rushed for 1,480 career yards and 10 touchdowns, catching 55 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns.
He has played four seasons in the NFL for the Dolphins.
Thomas, 27, is a power back at 6-foot-1, 235 pounds.
