The New England Patriots are cutting veteran cornerback Kyle Arrington, a league source confirmed.
Arrington signed a four-year, $16 million contract with $7.5 million guaranteed two years ago.
He was paid $9.5 million during the past two seasons.
Arrington was due $3 million this year and had a $4.625 million salary-cap figure.
Arrington had nine interceptions in 86 games with the Patriots.
Arrinton led the NFL with seven interceptions in 2011.
Arrington could possibly rejoin the Patriots under a smaller contract.
