Source: Patriots running backs coach meets with Georgia Tech running back Zach Laskey

Georgia Tech running back Zach Laskey was visited by New England Patriots running backs coach Ivan Fears for a private workout last week. Fears went to dinner with Laskey, too. Laskey was a four-year starter who's projected as a sixth-round or seventh-round draft target. Laskey wasn't invited to the NFL scouting combine. Laskey had a 4.50 and 4.58 at his Pro Day workout. Laskey is a 6-foot-2, 225-pounder who had a 35-inch vertical leap, a 10-4 broad jump, a 4.17 short shuttle and a 6.85 three-cone drill. He bench pressed 225 pounds 19 times. He lost two yards total last season. He rushed for 851 yards and nine touchdowns on 171 carries last season. He finished his career with 2,033 yards and 17 touchdowns for his career.
