Source: Patriots sign Fred Davis to one-year deal
Former Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis has been signed to a one-year contract by the New England Patriots, a league source confirmed.
Davis was reinstated after being suspended indefinitely following a violation of the league's substance-abuse policy, the NFL announced on Wednesday.
Seldom used in 2013, Davis finished the year with seven catches for 70 yards.
For his career, Davis has 162 receptions for 2,043 yards and 13 touchdowns.
