The New England Patriots have signed veteran cornerback Tarell Brown to a one-year contract, according to a league source.
Brown visited the Patriots twice this offseason.
Brown, 30, was still available for this late in the offseason primarily for health-related reasons. He played through a broken foot last season with the Raiders, starting 14 games and recording 55 tackles, no interceptions and four passes defended.
Brown played last season in Oakland under a one-year, $3.5 million contract.
A former fifth-round draft pick of the 49ers from Texas, Brown has 295 career tackles and 11 interceptions. He has started 114 career games.
