Source: Purdue running back Akeem Hunt visiting the Giants today

Purdue running back Akeem Hunt is visiting the New York Giants today, according to a league source. Hunt is a fast and versatile running back who's also drawn interest from the Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs. Hunt ran a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day workout. He had a 37.5-inch vertical leap, a 3.96 short shuttle and a 10-2 broad jump. Sources predicted that Hunt will be a fourth-round draft pick. Hunt caught every pass thrown to him. Hunt rushed for 949 yards and caught 48 passes last season for the Boilermakers. He played in the Medal of Honor Bowl at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. As a junior, he had 464 rushing yards and a touchdown and 38 catches for 340 yards and two touchdowns and also returned 24 kickoffs for 626 yards and a touchdown.
