Source: Sam Houston State RB Timothy Flanders to visit Saints

Sam Houston State All-American running back Timothy Flanders is going to visit the New Orleans Saints, according to a league source.

Flanders rushed for 1,430 yards and 14 touchdowns last season.

He fnished his career with 5,664 rushing yards and 420 points scored with 66 rushing touchdowns.

Flanders is the all-time leading rusher in Southland Conference history.

He began his career at Kansas State where he redshirted before transferring to Sam Houston State.

He rushed for 2,135 yards and 34 touchdowns as a high school senior at Midwest City High in Oklahoma.

The 5-foot-9, 210-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout, improving upon his 4.75 clocking at the NFL scouting combine.

At the combine, he bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times and had a 32-inch vertical leap and a 9-5 broad jump.
