Source: Titans will pass on Haynesworth

Albert Haynesworth's new landing spot won't be one of his old landing spots, according to

Haynesworth was released on Tuesday by the New England Patriots, who had traded for him just after the lockout ended. Haynesworth's sideline spat with defensive line coach Pepper Johnson was apparently the final straw in New England.H

Haynesworth, a Titans first-round pick in 2002 enjoyed his best seasons in Tennessee, where he left after the 2008 season for free agency and a $100 million contract with the Washington Redskins.

The Titans had had some interest in Haynesworth after his initial struggles in Washington, but never pulled the trigger on a deal. But that was when Jeff Fisher was head coach and Jim Washburn was defensive line coach.

With Mike Munchak now in charge in Tennessee and Washburn gone to Philadelphia, the Titans will apparently say no thanks to a second run with Haynesworth.
