Source: Utah guard Junior Salt working out for Panthers today

Utah offensive guard Junior Salt is working out for the Carolina Panthers today, according to a league source. The 6-foot-2, 326-pounder bench pressed 225 pounds 32 times at his campus Pro Day workout. A converted defensive tackle, Salt started eight of 12 games last season and played 542 snaps. As a junior, he started all 12 games at right guard and played 849 snaps as he led the Utes with 20 knockdowns. Salt was an All-American junior college selection at Mt. San Antonio in California and a four-star recruit. Salt played center and nose guard and was an all-state football and wrestling selection who also played rugby growing up in utah.
