Sources: Cardinals to work out Alan Ball

The Arizona Cardinals are working out veteran cornerback Alan Ball on Thursday, according to a league source. The unrestricted free agent played last season for the Chicago Bears,. Ball, 31, has previous stints with the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. He played collegiately at Illinois. In 2013, Ball had 47 tackles, 14 passes defended and two interceptions for the Jaguars. He signed a one-year deal last year with Chicago and had 20 tackles and five pass breakups.
