Florida State cornerback Ronald Darby, a potential first-round draft pick, is visiting the Indianapolis Colts, according to league sources.
Darby has previously visited the Tenneseee Titans and Carolina Panthers. He's also had meetings with the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets and worked out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Darby ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds at the NFL scouting combine where he also bench pressed 225 pounds 12 times and had a 41 1/2 inch vertical leap.
The 5-foot-11, 193-pounder has strong cover skills, allowing just 41.9 percent of the throws in his direction to be completed.
He was a third-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection.
Darby had 43 tackles and broke up four passes last season.
As a sophomore, he had two interceptions.
Darby is a former ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year who had 22 tackles and eight pass breakups as a freshman, and an Under Armour All-American in high school at Potomac (Md.).
Darby ran a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash in high school and was a state champion in the 100 meters and 200 meters and won a gold medal in the USA medley relay at the world youth championships in France.
At his Pro Day, Darby had a 10-7 broad jump and improved his bench press to 15 reps.
