Sources: FSU LB Telvin Smith visited Broncos, Eagles, Panthers

Florida State linebacker Telvin Smith visited the Denver Broncos this week and has also visited the Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles, according to league sources.

Smith has worked out privately for the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the entire NFC South interested in the speedy all-around linebacker.

Smith is one of the fastest linebackers in the draft with a 4.52 time in the 40-yard dash with some projecting him as a strong safety candidate.

The 6-foot-3, 218-pounder is a projected second-round draft target.

The Georgia native intercepted three passes last season, returning two for touchdowns.

Last season, he led the Seminoles with 75 tackles, 9.5 for losses, and was named first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference.

As a junior, he had 64 tackles and one sack.

Smith had a 31 1/2 inch vertical leap and a 9-11 broad jump and has bench pressed 225 pounds 16 times.

Smith is an aggressive blitzer with outstanding range and speed who has positional flexibility and special-teams skills.
