Sources: Martavis Bryant working with John Lucas in Houston

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant is in Houston working with noted counselor and former NBA coach and player John Lucas, according to sources with knowledge of the situation not authorized to speak publicly. Bryant is serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy stemming from a positive drug test for marijuana. The Steelers have been supportive of Bryant as he's spending time away from their training complex. They're hopeful that Bryant will make a strong return and resume his role as one of the most athletic wide receivers in the game. Lucas is a renowned substance abuse counselor who has many success stories working with professional athletes, celebrities and other public figures at his facility  in Houston.

Lucas' programs include counseling and an exercise regimen.

Among the many people who have sought Lucas' counsel and have done well are Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann "Honey Badger" Mathieu after he was dismissed from the LSU football team. Aaron Wilson covers the Texans for The Houston Chronicle.
