Stafford hints that he'll try to practice
From The Detroit News:
The Lions' three-day break ends when they return to practice Tuesday in Allen Park, and the big mystery remains whether or not Matthew Stafford -- as well as Calvin Johnson -- will be on the field as something other than bystanders. (Ditto Sammie Hill and Jason Hunter and Dewayne White and so on.)
But Stafford, who tested his injured right knee with a limited practice Oct. 14, then backed off after it swelled up again, hinted on his weekly WJR radio spot [Monday night] that he'll at least try to practice Tuesday. Asked to put a percentage on his chances of playing Sunday against the Rams, Stafford told co-hosts Mitch Albom and Ken Brown, "I don't know. I think I'll have a better thought about that maybe tomorrow. See if I can maybe run around a little bit and see how I'm feeling. I haven't done too much to test it in the last week, to tell you the truth. I've just been trying to rest it as much as I can."
