Steelers awarded long snapper Brandon Hartson off waivers from Chiefs

The Pittsburgh Steelers were awarded long snapper Brandon Hartson off waivers Friday. He'll compete with veteran Greg Warren. Signed to a reserve-future deal by the Kansas City Chiefs in January, Hartson was cut on Thursday. Warren has been the Steelers' long snapper since 2005. He was signed to a one-year, $1.05 million deal in February that included an $80,000 signing bonus. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
