Steelers, Big Ben posturing over OC switch

Ben Roethlisberger made no secret that he liked working with offensive coordinator Bruce Arians.

The Pittsburgh Steelers made it a horribly kept secret of Arians' "retirement," when he took a similar role with the Indianapolis Colts just over a week after being booted in Pittsburgh.

Now, Joe Starkey of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review outlines the high-stakes poker game that is going on behind the scenes between the Steelers and their quarterback.

Starkey asserts that by dumping Arians and bringing in Todd Haley as the new OC, the Rooney family and Coach Mike Tomlin are essentially sending the message to their quarterback of who is in control of things in the organization.

Starkey also claims that there could be more drama to play out before this situation plays out next season. Stay tuned to see if Haley's in-your-face style clashes with Big Ben, who appears to like the freedom he had to freelance in the offense as he saw fit on occasion.
