Steelers' Colon has torn triceps

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost more than just a football game to their chief division rival with Sunday's 35-7 thumping from the Baltimore Ravens.

The Steelers have lost offensive tackle Willie Colon to a torn triceps, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Colon's agent, Joe Linta, confirmed the injury to the paper.

It is the second time in the past two season that Colon' season has been cut short. Last year, he was lost to an off-season Achilles injury.

Still, Colon apparently fits into the Steelers' plans for beyond 2011, despite basically playing in one game in two seasons now. They signed the right tackle to a five-year, $29 million contract.

With Colon out, Bouchette speculates that the Steelers could pursue either their former tackle Max Starks or former Dallas Cowboy Flozell Adams, who was in Pittsburgh's training camp this summer.
