Steelers hire Haley as offensive coordinator
The Pittsburgh Steelers have hired former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley as their new offensive coordinator.
Mark Carman of KCSP-AM 610 in Kansas City was the first to break the news.
Haley, who was let go by the Chiefs with three games to go in the 2011 regular season, will replace Bruce Arians, who had been the OC for the Steelers since 2007, but was not retained and eventually took a similar position with the Indianapolis Colts.
Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was especially supportive of Arians, according to various reports, and it will be interesting to see how he meshes with Haley, who has been known to occasionally have an abrasive style.
